Let me tell you something that used to scare me: failure. Not mine—my team’s. I thought I had to do it all. When I started my company, I literally did everything—from turning on the lights to changing the toilet paper. Sound familiar?
But as we grew, I realized something powerful: I was the bottleneck. Not because I didn’t have the right people, but because I didn’t trust them enough to fail.
The Leadership Myth
Too many leaders think delegation is risky. That if something goes wrong, it’s on them. And you know what? That’s true. But here’s what’s also true: you’ll never scale greatness by playing it safe.
At XINNIX, we’ve won over 25 cultural awards—and a big reason is this mantra I live by: fail forward. It’s simple. Give people the freedom to try, to stumble, and to grow.
The Trust Test
Ask yourself:
👉 Have I clearly communicated expectations?
👉 Is this person capable of the job?
👉 Am I giving them room to succeed… and fail?
If you’ve answered yes, it’s time to let go. Let them move. Let them mess up. Then coach them through it.
Because failure is just feedback. It’s the fastest way to grow. And when your people know they have permission to fail forward? That’s when they stop holding back.
The Challenge
So today, here’s your mindset reset:
➡️Stop trying to control every detail.
➡️Start creating space for growth.
➡️Lead by trusting. Not micromanaging.
Say it out loud with me—I hope you fail forward. Because on the other side of that stumble? Is a stronger team. A bolder business. And a better you.
Take care, everybody—let’s go attack it.
