Are You Speaking Success or Sabotage?

Are Your Words Making You Sick or Strong?

Hey, everybody! What if I told you that the words you say every day—out loud and in your head—are either building you up or tearing you down?

I’m not talking fluff here. I’m talking science.

Let me tell you a story that rocked me and that I now teach my kids. This Japanese scientist, Masaru Emoto, ran a powerful experiment. He had elementary students take two jars of cooked rice—same rice, same day. One jar got a label with negative words: “You’re ugly,” “You’re stupid.” The other jar? Words like “You’re beautiful,” “You’re love.”

Twice a day for 30 days, those kids spoke to the jars. One with kindness, one with cruelty.

You ready for the results?

The rice in the positive jar stayed white and fluffy. The one with negativity? Moldy. Black. Disgusting. Now here’s where it hit me: our bodies are 60–70% water. So if words can do that to rice… what are they doing to you?

The Trap: Default Negativity

We say things without thinking:
“I can’t hit my number.”
“I’m terrible at follow-up.”
“I’m not good with tech.”
These aren’t facts—they’re decisions. And every time you say them, you mold your mindset in the wrong direction.

The Fix: Flip the Script

Speak what you want, not what you fear.
Affirmations aren’t cheesy—they’re fuel. Say them with purpose. Repeat them daily. Stick a Post-it on your mirror. Set reminders on your phone. Teach it to your team. Teach it to your kids.
Because your words are shaping your next outcome, whether you like it or not.

Let’s go attack it today, everybody.
Speak life. Speak belief. Speak possibility.
And if you’ve got kids? Try the rice jar experiment at home. Trust me—it’ll blow their minds and shift their mindset too.
Take care, everybody. Let’s win the day! 💥
